Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!
It has been a few weeks (and then some) since I participated in Library Loot, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been racking up the pile of books. And believe me, it is indeed quite a pile.
Here’s what I picked up this week:
Great House, by Nicole Krauss
I’m one of the few people who did not care for The History of Love. Still, I try to give authors a second chance. This one is for the 2nds Challenge, too.
Mr. Rosenblum Dreams in English
I’ve been hearing so much buzz about this one from other bloggers.
Strangers at the Feast
This one looks intriguing, and definitely something that I would like.
The Doctor and the Diva
The Lady Who Liked Clean Restrooms
As soon as I saw this while browsing the library’s shelves, I knew it was coming home with me. There was no way I could resist a book with that title. I expected the library staff to say something at the circulation desk, but they didn’t. (I guess they’ve seen worse.)
The Promise: President Obama, Year One (audiobook)
